In the article the published data about the possible influence of affective disorders in the premorbid period to the forming alcohol dependence are presented. In author’s opinion, alcohol and its derivatives interacts with neuropsychological and biochemical processes, that are responsible for functioning and regulation of the emotional sphere; in other hand, emotional disorders itself could lead to alcohol abuse and dependence. The methods, that may help to research those issues on practice, are offered.
